Supporting the Education System in Kenya by Developing Digital Skills of Public Schools Educators

Kenya is transitioning to a competency-based curriculum that emphasizes the need for teachers to master and effectively use new technologies, essential for preparing students to enter the modern labor market, highlighting the growing importance of digital skills in the education system.

CIVS Kenya with the support of ESTDEV and Mondo held a one-day Stakeholders Conference in Kisumu to prepare for the Digital Skills for Educators Project that will kick off in September.

The project aims to address challenges faced by Educators by developing their digital skills through relevant training programs that are aligned with the national education system. In addition, the project helps improve access to high-quality digital learning materials, supporting both teachers and, through them, their students.
